Order of the Phoenix - A MUST SEE, Naturally
current location: Desk at work - hopefully not UNDER it!
current mood: tired
current song: "Illusion" - VNV Nation
Well, despite my determination to be mature, and wait until tonight (Wednesday) to see the movie, so that I wouldn't be tired from the midnight showning last night...yeah, sure. When Fandango showed plenty of tickets available at 9:30 PM, and the theatre is less than 4 miles from my house...so much for my already questionable maturity. Shit...I only hope I'm not sleeping under my desk at 3:00 this afternoon. I'm nursing a pretty significant cup of coffee right now, but it's not having the effect I would hope for. I really did try to get a bit of sleep before the movie, but Lon called at the last minute and asked if he could stop by. What am I going to say? "Fuck no! I have to get ready for Harry!"
~I agree that Umbridge was fabulously cast. Her character is frightening because she never stops smiling and cooing - even when people are in detention with that damn quill. Her later scene with the centaurs is really great. Luna was also perfectly presented. They couldn't have cast her any better if they'd tried. I could have done with a bit more Tonks, but maybe in the next movie. Also wouldn't have minded more around the twins' departure. I'm still pretty upset about Lucius' hair. His new doo reminded me of Laurie Laughlin on the old "Full House" program. Yeah...ugh!
The scenes at the Ministry were amazing. I'm going to see the movie again on Saturday, at an IMAX theatre, so I can't wait for that experience. One thing that happened...I came away from the movie with a desire for some Sirius/Harry slash fiction. I might even have to write some of my own. I haven't written anything in this ship before, but branching out is good, right?~
